Climate Change Handbook — Next Edition

The success of the four-volume second edition of Springer’s Handbook of Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation has led to a revised six-volume third edition, now moving towards a ‘Living Reference’ format (allowing continuous updates).

Our chapter on Emissions Trading has now been completely revised, and my two co-authors – Paula Coussy and Carla Freeman – were particularly helpful in bringing things up to date. I’ve worked with Ms. Coussy, a European carbon specialist at IFP Energies nouvelles (IFPEN), since the 1990s (including UN training sessions in China). Professor Freeman runs the Foreign Policy Institute at SAIS in DC – and very shortly after receiving her revisions, I was driving in my car and happened to hear her discussing China trade issues on Bloomberg Radio. It is certainly nice to work with such knowledgeable colleagues!
